Siebel support operation makes acquisition

Third party Siebel support firm Rimini Street has made its own acquisition in the shape of Sidney Blue LLC, an ERP and CRM consultancy.

A four-year-old company based in San Francisco, Sidney Blue focuses on Siebel system implementations, upgrades and services. It has a number of big name clients, including Toyota Financial Services, the Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association, Peregrine Systems Inc. and Restoration Hardware.

Sidney Blue's president and CEO, Dan Slarve, will become Rimini Street's vice president of IT, in which role he will oversee the architecture and operation of Rimini Street's technol ogy and its integration to Sidney Blue's technology.

Rimini Street was only founded last year in the wake of Siebel's acquisition by Oracle. Founder Seth Ravin was previously behind TomorrowNow, a similar company which provided third-party support for PeopleSoft and J.D. Edwards customers. SAP bought TomorrowNow in January 2005.
