Applix, which deals in customer analytics and business planning software, has reported revenues of $13.6 million for the fourth quarter, compared with $14.2 million for the same period in 1999, a decrease of 4%.

CRM/Analytics revenues were a record $11.1 million, an increase of 11%, and deferred license revenue went up by $1.2 million.

Deals for demand chain management solutions were made with:
• Sandollar, a company building Internet communities in secure buildings representing $1.2M in revenue
• Energis, an eBusiness and telecoms solutions provider
• Agemis, a joint venture of European Allianz AG and Deutsche Telekom Immobilien

The company has expanded relationships with:
• BP Amocor
• Daimler-Chrysler
• Goodyear Tire & Rubber
• Landesbank-BadenWurttemberg

There was a 46% reduction in revenues from VistaSource, the Linux subsidiary, but CRM/Analytics revenues increased nine per cent to $40.2 million.

Alan Goldsworthy, Applix’s CEO and president, said: “More CRM-oriented businesses are determining the value of analytical capabilities and companies are recognizing the need to put the customer at the center of the process. Our customers don’t have to re-engineer their business to implement our software. Our software is adapted to their business. This translates into easier, faster implementations that get results sooner.”

Goldsworthy added, “We do not foresee any major slowdown in the spending for our CRM Analytics’ solutions. In difficult economic environments it becomes even more important to retain your existing customers, as well as to generate additional revenues through them.”
