Applix reports progress in tough times – though at a slower pace

Applix continues to earn new customers, repeat business and new partnership deals, albeit at a slower pace due to the tough economy.

New corporate customers include American, European and Australian companies in a range of industries, from aerospace and financial services to consumer packaged goods.

The following companies have chosen an Applix solution during 2001: Allianz Capital Partner; AMP Strategic Sourcing; Berkley Underwriting; BNS Group; Byvan; Dynergy; Empire Forster; GE Commercial; General Mills; Gebrueder Weiss; iCall; Mueller Weingarten; Network Dynamics; Otto-Bock Healthcare GmbH; Phillips Fox; Redfern Integrated Optics; Sagent; Siemens Transportation Systems; Standard & Poors; Southern Co. Energy Marketing; Stadtwerke Muenster; TecCom GmbH; Visaer, Inc.

In addition, significant repeat business was generated by many customers, including Benetton, Bristol Myers Squibb, CareCentric, EDS, Food Lion, GAF, Hewlett Packard, IDS, Lockheed Martin, Merrill Lynch, Novartis, Pharmacia & Upjohn, Trend Micro and Virgin Atlantic Airways.

Applix also established new partnerships with:
• Alcatel, a leader in the high-speed access and optical transport market. Its e-business division provides CRM solutions based on Applix iEnterprise in the Austrian market.

• SerCon GmbH is one of the largest single-source providers for IT consulting and services in Germany. SerCon delivers solutions based on Applix iTM1 and Applix iEnterprise.

• Stratature combines Applix iTM1 with rapid development methodology to improve accuracy and accessibility of information.
