CRM Portal provider Aspect today announced the appointment of two new vice presidents to strengthen and enhance customer support and consulting services. P.K. Karnik was named vice president of Aspect’s worldwide consulting organization. James Patrice was selected as vice president of Aspect’s global customer support organization. Karnik and Patrice report to Dave Hare, senior vice president, Customer Services.

They will build upon Aspect’s current capability for customer support and extend the range of consulting offerings, respectively, to ensure that Aspect’s customers have all the essential ingredients critical to their successful deployment of Aspect’s eCRM solutions for business advantage.

“Unmatched consulting and support services are required for our growing customer base in today’s global economy, and they are a key competitive advantage for Aspect,” said Beatriz Infante, co-president, Aspect Communications. “Aspect has a solid history of customer support and a large worldwide consulting organization. This announcement signals our intent to enrich and expand our offerings so that our customers get maximum advantage from their eCRM investment.”

Karnik comes to Aspect from Aptia, a Silicon Valley-based eCommerce consulting firm where he was a co-founder and vice president. Prior to Aptia, Karnik spent the majority of his career at Hewlett-Packard, where he held numerous senior management positions in the company’s consulting and services organizations.

Patrice has over 25 years’ experience in the area of service and support management. He joined Aspect from SGI, where he was the director of customer services operations. Previously, he served as the director of global services for Electro-Scientific Industries and held senior management positions at Digital Equipment Corporation.
