Cognos has been named one of the top 10 web support sites of 2000 by the Association of Support Professionals (ASP).
Launched earlier this year, the Cognos EnterpriseServices Portal provides customers with consulting, training, and support services to help customers achieve maximum business impact with Cognos BI solutions.
The annual top 10 award honors websites on the basis of quality of site navigation, knowledgebase content, interactive features, personalization, and the overall success overcoming major development challenges. Cognos shares this year’s award with Dell, Hewlett Packard, Iomega, Sybase and Symantec.
A panel of customer-support experts evaluated 65 different sites worldwide, which provide online support for everything from software, PC hardware, corporate applications, and online services.
“The EnterpriseServices Portal is a clear example of online innovation and excellence,” said Jeffery Tarter, executive director, The Association of Support Professionals. “Our membership recognizes the importance of delivering online support. The winners are driving some of the most sophisticated advances in the field.”
“Being named by the ASP to the Top 10 web support sites is a tremendous honor and a huge credit to Cognos’ dedicated and talented staff,” said Donna Sparks, Cognos vice president of customer support. “Cognos is dedicated to being a total business partner to customers. The portal is a powerful extension of that vision.”
The award represents the second web support award received by Cognos in the past four months. The portal was honored in April with the WebStar Service Award, given annually by the California-based Software Support Professionals Association’s Supportgate.com
