It is clear that Cognos' commitment to excellence is top of mind with them when considering a vendor capable of delivering the highest quality solutions and support."
DM Reviewis US a business intelligence and data warehousing. The 1999 Data Warehouse 100 was determined based on the results of a product usage and vendor rating survey of DM Review readers conducted over the Web by Market Prospects, a Massachusetts-based intelligence company serving the data management industry. DM Review readers were asked to rate the vendors of business intelligence and data warehousing products used in their organizations. Vendor ratings were compiled into an index that accounted for the mean rating, the number of responses, the comparative position of the vendor in each product category, and the number of categories in which the vendor's products appeared.
"Our 1.6 million BI users and 2,400 partners worldwide are clearly leveraging Cognos software for enhanced business performance management and strategic enterprise reporting. Our exponential growth in Web-based business intelligence is being driven by e-business applications and Cognos' leadership in this high growth market is highlighted by the survey results", said Terry Hall, Cognos chief operating officer.
