Interactive Intelligence Inc. and Brightpoint North America L.P., a subsidiary of Brightpoint, Inc. have signed a distribution agreement to speed the delivery of new wireless products and services to the small and mid-sized enterprise market.

Brightpoint will market, sell and support Interactive Intelligence's wireless application gateway product, Mobilité, along with its own bundled wireless data products and services.

Brightpoint has created the Wireless Value Added Reseller (WVAR) channel to address the convergence of wireless communications, data and handheld computing. The WVAR channel program supports companies that market wireless data solutions to small and mid-sized businesses, allowing them to offer hardware wireless networks and software from leading manufacturers and carriers.

Mobilité enables companies to rapidly create, deploy and maintain wireless productivity applications for popular handheld devices such as the RIM BlackBerry, Palm Pilot, Pocket PC and Symbian/Epoc line.

"We created our WVAR channel program so that companies could choose from among the highest quality and widest array of hardware devices, wireless network connectivity and software," J. Mark Howell, president of Brightpoint, said. "We're delighted to add Mobilité to this program so that businesses can more quickly take advantage of its powerful wireless application development platform."

"Brightpoint's years of experience delivering world-class wireless solutions to companies like Nextel, AT&T, Verizon and Sprint will go a long way toward creating a new wireless VAR channel," said Donald E. Brown, president and chief executive officer for Interactive Intelligence. "We can help with that by drawing on our experience of cultivating one of the first computer telephony VAR channels from the ground up."
