Corio blows its trumpet for new clients

The application service provider Corio has won an impressive list of new customers - including Hitachi America, Elemica Holdings, ForestExpress and Coreon - all of whom expect to have their hosted solutions operational before the end of the first quarter.

• Hitachi America, a subsidiary of Hitachi Ltd, markets and manufactures a broad range of electronics, computer systems and products, consumer electronics and semiconductors, and provides industrial equipment and services throughout North America. The company chose Corio to host and manage SAP R/3 Financials and Sales for 350 users throughout North America.

• Elemica Holdings is a global electronic marketplace for the chemical industry. Elemica was formed by twenty-two of the world’s leading chemical companies, including Bayer, DuPont, Mitsubishi Chemical and Chemcentral, to address inefficiencies in supply chains. Corio is to host and manage a set of leading enterprise applications, the initial release of which was operational in record time.

• ForestExpress, an eCommerce marketplace dedicated to the paper and forest products industry, simplifies transaction processes, improves information flow and speeds delivery, thereby reducing costs. Equity partners include Boise Cascade Corporation, Georgia-Pacific, International Paper, The Mead Corporation, Weyerhaeuser and Willamette Industries. ForestExpress has selected Corio to host and manage SAP R/3 Financials and Human Resources; Commerce One and SAPMarkets; MarketSet and Moai Technologies LiveExchange.

• Coreon is the nation’s premier operations service provider (OSP) for broadband telecoms service providers seeking speed-to-market with new services. Its OSP model offers outsourced provisioning and network operations centers for broadband carriers demanding reliability, predictability and scalability. Corio will host and manage PeopleSoft 8.0 Financials.
