The UK internet service provider Demon has been ranked top in the latest independent customer satisfaction study.
Thus plc’s internet brand, Demon topped the study, conducted by the US-based marketing information firm J.D. Power & Associates. Among other ISPs included in the study were LineOne, VirginNet, Freeserve, BT Internet and AOL.
According to the more than 1,800 internet households were questioned on the performance of their ISP, Demon’s strength is in its connection speed/access to the internet, the top driver of customer satisfaction. Demon also excels in customer service and e-mail services.
“We have invested over $182 million (£110m) since last year in improving and extending our network, to increase our range of services,” said Cynthia Gordon, brand marketing director at Thus (formerly Scottish Telecom).
Demon was recently rated as the second best worldwide ISP, by Internet Magazine.
