Interim results expected to be in-line with consensus forecasts.

In light of recent developments in the technology sector, Detica Group plc (“Detica” or “the Group”), (LSE: DCA), an established UK IT services company, provides investors with the following pre-close trading update:

The Group continues to see strong demand for its services and expects to announce interim results for the six months ending 30 September 2002 in-line with consensus forecasts.

Detica will announce interim results for the six months ended 30 September 2002 on Tuesday, 26 November 2002.

Detica is a high-level IT services consultancy focused on helping organisations harness technology to identify, attract, develop and retain customers through its effective integration with business processes.

On 18 June 2002, Detica announced revenues for the year ended 31 March 2002 of £32.8 million and profits before tax and exceptional flotation expenses of £5.9 million. In this period, revenues derived from the Commercial sector amounted to £18.7 million and revenues derived from the Government sector amounted to £14.1 million (57% and 43% of Group revenues respectively). Detica floated on the London Stock Exchange in April 2002 raising £14.4 million (net of expenses). Detica's clients include British Airways, Centrica, Prudential, Hutchison 3G, Eurostar, National Express and Lloyds TSB plus Government departments including HM Customs & Excise and the Ministry of Defence.
