eGain has appointed two industry veterans to strengthen its worldwide marketing: Ben Shelton, former Lotus veteran, and Ryan Rosenberg, who earlier worked with Symantec.
Shelton joins eGain as vice president of marketing. Based at the company’s Sunnyvale headquarters, he will be responsible for leading marketing initiatives.
Ryan Rosenberg becomes vice president of international marketing. Based in London, he will be responsible for marketing programs in Europe, Asia and the Middle East.
“eGain’s customer base continues to grow on an international scale,” said Gunjan Sinha, president of eGain. “In creating these two strategically located marketing positions, we are practicing our own advice and becoming more accessible to current and future customers.

Shelton previously headed his own private consulting practice, working with companies developing Internet-related technologies. An accomplished marketing executive, he specializes in the development and execution of marketing strategies. He has held executive marketing roles with Qwest Communications and The Mesa Group. Shelton also spent four years at Lotus Development during its early stages.
Rosenberg most recently headed up marketing at eGain’s corporate headquarters. He joined the company from Symantec, where he was director of product marketing. He has also served with Hewlett-Packard and IBM.
