Epicor has announced the appointment of Chuck Boesenberg, president of Post PC Ventures, a management and investment group, to its board of directors.

Boesenberg was president and CEO of ISI, a provider of embedded systems software, until the company was acquired by Wind River Systems.
He has held executive positions at Magellan Corporation, Ashtech, Central Point Software and MIPS Computer Systems, where he grew the firm’s business from $40 million to $150 million per year. Before joining MIPS, he worked with Apple Computer and Data General Europe.

“I am pleased to have the opportunity to work with Epicor’s management team,” said Boesenberg. “I believe Epicor has the perfect combination of technology, vision and leadership to bring a comprehensive enterprise and eBusiness solution to midmarket businesses.”

Boesenberg serves on the board of directors of Symantec and Immersion. He also works with iSharp, Point Base, PublishOne and DevelopOnline.

“We are proud to have Chuck join us, as he brings years of experience as a proven leader in technology-driven companies,” said George Klaus, chairman of Epicor. “We are fortunate to add his valuable perspective and knowledge of B2B and Internet companies to our already distinguished board.”

Boesenberg holds a BS in mechanical engineering from the Rose Hulman Institute of Technology and an MS in business administration from Boston University.

Founded in 1984, Epicor is a provider of integrated enterprise and eBusiness software solutions for midmarket companies, with 30,000 customers worldwide. The company is headquartered in Irvine, California.
