Rolls-Royce Engine Services, Indianapolis, has selected Epicor’s Impresa software to manage its maintenance, repair and engine overhaul shop, supply chain functions and financial operations.
This Rolls-Royce subsidiary company, which provides services for military and civilian aircraft engines, is standardizing on Impresa to streamline operations and improve performance. Impresa software is part of a division at Epicor that provides maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) software to the aerospace, defense and transportation industries.
“We are very excited to add a premier account such as Rolls-Royce Engine Services – Indianapolis to the Impresa family of customers. Being one of the top companies in its marketplace, the implementation of Impresa should help realize an even more competitive advantage,” said Doug McGregor, vice president and general manager of the Impresa division for Epicor. “Our solution is designed to help these businesses automate many functions as well as improve overall business performance.”
With Impresa, Rolls-Royce will be able to substantially reduce data entry time and improve accuracy, as data is automatically populated throughout the entire enterprise. Shop floor operations should also benefit from greater efficiency and reduced turn times.
Epicor’s Impresa Division offers customers, as well as prospects, the opportunity to get involved in the development process through its partnership development program. Customers provide insight into their real life requirements, which in turn helps Epicor build an out-of-the-box industrial strength MRO product. Impresa is specifically targeted at operations in the aerospace, defense and transportation industries. Through the capabilities of its base tool set – including airframe, components and complex assemblies – Impresa provides specialized tools that handle the dynamic nature, variable workload and project orientation of the MRO process. Impresa’s inventory and information management tools enable MRO organizations to have improved business performance, while delivering quicker turn times and lower costs to their customers.
