Geac Enterprise Solutions, a supplier of enterprise management software, has agreed to deliver Applix’s web-based iCRM solution to customers. Geac will distribute the solution on a worldwide basis as a component of its own solution and as a standalone application in certain markets. Geac will also implement Applix’s iEnterprise iCRM solution for its internal use.
Together, Geac and Applix believe they can help companies match products and methods of delivery to demand.
“We are very happy to be able to partner with Geac to offer this vital business functionality to the mid-market,” said Alan Goldsworthy, Applix president. “Our previous alliances with Geac have been highly successful – in 1999 Geac generated the highest revenue of any of our partners selling our iTM1 business intelligence software – and our new partnership is exceptionally good news for the mid-market sector.”
Geac will use Applix iEnterprise software to interface the customer-facing front office business processes to its back office applications. It will then use iTM1 business intelligence solution to analyze customer data to help users improve business efficiency. By accessing enterprise-wide data, businesses will be able to measure levels and patterns of customer demand in real time.
When iEnterprise is configured to Geac’s solutions (SmartStream, System21, E Series, M Series, SQL Financials, TotalHR), the browser access will enable customer data to be viewed and analyzed remotely, regardless of where the transactions are made. The information relating to customer sales, previous orders, service levels and prior performance will give the cost of transactions and streamline the process of customer interaction.
“In the New Economy, maintaining both new and established customer relationships is not an option – it is a necessity,” explained Harry Debes, president of Geac. “By partnering with Applix, Geac can now show businesses how to use the data that our applications maintain to improve and streamline the way their e-business interacts with the customer.”
