The digital security company Guardent has appointed a widely recognized expert in effective security solutions, to the new post of trusted security advisor.
Robert Aanerud is renowned for his expertise in implementing new security architectures, policies, procedures, and solutions across multinational organizations.
In his new role he will work alongside Guardent chief awareness officer, Thornton May, to help Global 1000 top executives address information security and privacy. He will also partner with Guardent’s team of eBusiness and security experts - including the largest staff of certified information security systems professionals (CISSPs) - to direct organizations as they implement security solutions.

Aanerud has more than 30 years of experience in key internal and consulting positions for major corporations in wide range of markets. Most recently, he was a top executive with Global Integrity Corporation, where he was responsible for program management and direction of large-scale security architecture engagements.
Prior to Global Integrity, Aanerud was a principal consultant for the Information Security Group within SRI Consulting’s Advanced Information Technology Practice. Earlier in his career, he served as a principal consultant and national practice leader for Ernst & Young’s Information Systems Assurance & Advisory Services Practice. He has also held a number of management positions with such firms as Grumman Data Systems, Trident Data Systems, Lockheed California, Honeywell, Inc., and Control Data Corporation.

• Thornton May, chief awareness officer and corporate futurist.
