Digital security services firm, Guardent has appointed industry veteran Michael L. Puldy as vice president of its managed services division.
Targeting large organizations and established e-markets, Puldy will define, build and lead Guardent’s managed services practice worldwide. He will operate out of the company’s headquarters in Waltham, Mass., U.S.
Puldy comes to Guardent from IBM, where he served as worldwide manager of its computer emergency response team. He presided over sales, marketing, and business development, and was responsible for the delivery of internet scanning services, real-time intrusion detection services, virus protection services, and incident management.
Prior to IBM, he spent 10 years with the former Barnett Banks, a $41 billion holding company, where he managed data center systems and operations for both mainframe and client/server platforms.
Puldy is an internationally renowned speaker, and has published papers on the subjects of computer security, fiber optic data communications, the electronic vaulting of data, storage subsystems, and the backup and recovery of critical business information.
