Information security expert takes on new challenge

Guardent has appointed an industry veteran with 30 years’ experience to be its trusted security advisor.

Robert Aanerud, an expert in digital security solutions for multinational organizations, will work alongside chief awareness officer, Thornton May, to advise Global 1000 executives on information security and privacy.

Aanerud has served with major corporations in wide range of markets. Most recently, he worked with Global Integrity where he was responsible for program management and direction of large-scale security architecture. He was a principal consultant for the information security group within SRI Consulting, and also worked with Ernst & Young, Grumman Data Systems, Trident, Lockheed California, Honeywell, and Control Data Corporation.

Aanerud joins a list of renowned security and eBusiness experts who have helped grow Guardent from a handful of employees in March 2000 to 140 today, such as Thornton May, chief awareness officer; Dr Eugene Spafford, chairman of the advisory board, and Michael Puldy, vice president of managed services.
