In a recent interview with Computer Reseller News' Shawn Willet, Mark Jarvis of Oracle (senior vice president of worldwide marketing) discussed E-business and CRM strategy.
Jarvis was quick to lend a hand to the E-challenged, and do a bit of jargon-busting to clarify the business/commerce blur.
"E-commerce and e-business are two different things. E-commerce is a small subset of e-business. The market is very confused; people are thinking of e-business as just about retailing on the Internet, but it is really about being efficient within the company, as well. E-business is about better customer service, integrating with your suppliers and partners and being able to expand your physical market through electronic means.
