Italian lingerie fashion firm, Lovable Italiana has selected Sagent Solutions to deliver analysis to aid marketing and sales decisions.
Part of Sara Lee Group, Lovable Italiana specialises in the design and manufacture of intimate lingerie under the Lovable and Fila Underwear brands, selling through 8,500 retailers and 90 franchisees across 15 countries in Europe.
Over 3.5 million order and invoice records from the company’s manufacturing and distribution operation are loaded on a daily basis into a data mart, using the Sagent Solution, which will then be analysed to create marketing and sales strategies.
Sagent's solution is extracting data from Lovable's Movex ERP system running on AS/400 DB2, into an Oracle data warehouse on NT, from where data marts are created for the sales and marketing department.
"We wanted a solution which would give our managers access to daily market analysis, combining data from across the company, which would help them form Lovable's sales and marketing strategies,” said Giuseppe Zambarbieri, IT director of Lovable. We now have a workable and flexible business intelligence architecture in place which will empower us to be responsive to trends among our customers."
Meanwhile Sagent has announced the appointment of Carlo Petronio to head up its newly opened Italian operations in Milan. Carlo joins Sagent from Cognos, where he was general manager for Italian operations.
