Janna Systems bolsters internet capability with two acquisitions

LivePage and Archer Strengthen Janna's Web-Based Customer Relationship Management Solutions

Janna Systems, a supplier of enterprise-class Customer Relationship Management (CRM) solutions, today announced it has entered into agreements to acquire all of the shares of LivePage Corporation, a leading supplier of Web content management and personalization software, and Archer Enterprise Systems Inc., a developer of CRM data synchronization software.

"These strategic acquisitions deliver key components in our enterprise CRM product vision," said William M. Tatham, Janna President and CEO "We now have the capability to deliver customer-facing Web sites with personalized content based on customer preferences and interests stored in the Janna CRM database - ideal for implementing intelligent eCommerce solutions.

"We can also support customer-facing professionals by using standard Web browsers to push sales campaigns with personalized sales scripts and selected marketing content reflecting the individual preferences of the customer. This significantly extends the capabilities of our Janna Contact WebView eCRM solution."

With the Archer acquisition Janna hopes to bring quality people to further expand research and development capacity and new technology to augment the next generation of data synchronization products.

The acquisitions of LivePage and Archer are expected to close on October 1, 1999, and by September 24, 1999 respectively.

Janna Achieves Deloitte's Fast 50 Status

Janna Systems were recently celebrated recognition as a 1999 Canadian Technology Fast 50 company, an annual ranking by Deloitte & Touche of the 50 fastest growing technology companies in Canada.  Rankings are based on the percentage of growth in revenues from 1994-1998.

Janna Systems' increase in revenues of 1,515% over the five-year period resulted in a 16th place ranking overall in the Canadian Technology Fast 50 for 1999.
