Prime Response selects seasoned strategic alliances professional

Marketing Automation vendor Prime Response has announced the addition of Jim Plantan as vice president of business development to facilitate the formation of revenue enhancing strategic partnerships. Joining Prime Response with more than 20 years of experience, Plantan will continue to build on the Company's existing alliances, as well as develop additional relationships and alternate channels of distribution for Prime Response's recently launched software, [email protected]™.

Prior to Prime Response, Plantan was the director of marketing and strategic alliances for the Customer Relationship Management Solutions Group at Information Advantage. In this capacity, Plantan was responsible for the development and marketing of the Company's CRM practice. During his tenure with Information Advantage, Plantan grew the CRM division to comprise more than 15 percent of the Company's total revenues and increased strategic alliances with blue-chip organizations over 100 percent in three years. 

Plantan has also held the role of partnership marketing director at Damark International, a national direct marketer of brand-name products. At Damark, Plantan successfully increased alliances by 300 percent and launched a variety of successful marketing initiatives that rendered more than $1.5M in revenues. In addition, Plantan spent eight years at Andersen Consulting as a manager specializing in retail sales and inventory systems for a variety of major retailers. Plantan received a bachelor of science in business administration from Iowa State University.
