PricewaterhouseCoopers, the world's largest professional services firm, is to offer Exchange Applications' award-winning VALEX campaign management software as part of its CRM solution, it was announced last week.

The two firms have worked together on several successful implementations of VALEX, which automates and accelerates marketing processes to improve customer acquisition, expansion and retention. Following the positive outcome of these initiatives, the two organisations have formed a strategic alliance to provide customers with CRM solutions consisting of best-of-breed components.

"PricewaterhouseCoopers is the first professional services firm uniquely suited to design and integrate full enterprise solutions," said Andy Frawley, president and CEO of Exchange Applications. "This relationship allows us to extend the value of our VALEX application by tightly integrating it with other complementary CRM solutions."

Adam Klaber, managing partner and Global CRM technology leader for PricewaterhouseCooper, added: "Marketing automation and campaign management are key focuses of our global CRM practice."

The Market-Intelligent Enterprise [MIE] developed by PricewaterhouseCoopers aligns front and back office activities to integrate sales, marketing, and customer service functions, helping clients to proactively manage customer information and relationships. It is powered by technology components which VALEX successfully addresses, including data warehousing, call centers, and technology-enabled marketing and selling.

"VALEX can significantly strengthen an enterprise CRM solution because it helps businesses leverage integrated customer information," explained Michael J. Schroeck, managing partner of Global Data Warehousing and Relationship Marketing leader.

Exchange Applications' VALEX is licensed for use at more than 80 sites worldwide, including Federal Express, Fleet Financial Group, NatWest, and Bank of America.
