Annual revenue for QAS, a self-funded company, grew to $31.8 million from $24.1 million, an increase of 32%. A pre-tax profit of $0.9m was achieved after investing $2.3 million in non-UK operations to support the company's international expansion.
QAS MD Simon Worth noted: "These excellent figures, combined with the exciting news that QAS returned 48% of the Royal Mail Postcode Address File licence fee for the year to March 2001, is a reflection that QAS is now the pre-eminent source of high quality, corporate address management technology in the UK.
"Across the global stage, the QAS formula is proving equally successful. Indeed, with the launch of our second US office in San Francisco and market leading businesses in Australia and Europe, QAS is already established as the leading address management technology group in the World.
"Our employees are still the company's greatest asset and over the course of the year, we have invested significantly in a new benefits package and introduced a group personal pension plan, to which QAS contributes. Combined with the current share ownership scheme this package of benefits lies at the heart of the company's excellent staff retention rates."
