Richard Cheney has resigned from the board of EDS to focus on his US vice presidential candidacy. EDS has no immediate plans to announce a replacement.
“In his four years on our board, Dick Cheney has served EDS with distinction,” said Dick Brown, EDS chairman. “EDS has benefited greatly from Dick’s knowledge, insight and counsel, and we wish him the best as he resumes his career in public service.”
In a letter to directors, Cheney said: “I have enjoyed immensely my association with EDS and the thousands of dedicated people who are part of the EDS family.”
