RightPoint apponts new CFO

Real-time eMarketing solutions provider RightPoint have announced the appointment of ex-Peoplesoft CFO Al Castino as their new chief financial officer.

Castino brings some 25 years' experience in financial management, most recently serving as CFO, secretary and senior vice president of finance and administration at Peoplesoft.  He will play a major role in leading RightPoint to its initial public offering and will work closely with president and CEO Gayle Crowell to support the company's ongoing evolution and growth.

While at Peoplesoft, Castino managed more than 400 staff across finance and operations, including MIS, purchasing, legal, human resources and facilities, in addition to his financial management and investor relations responsibilities. He played a key role in the development of Peoplesoft's business processes and systems as it grew to more than $1 Billion in revenues. 

Before joining Peoplesoft, Castino spent a year as Vice President of Finance for Chiron Biotech and 8 years at Sun Microsystems in senior financial management roles including Director of Finance and Planning for European Operations and Controller of U.S. Operations. Prior to Sun, he held various financial and accounting-oriented positions with Wyse Technology, Hewlett Packard, Bank of America, and Deloitte and Touche.  He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Finance and Accounting from Holy Cross College in Massachusetts and an MBA from Stanford University.

In a related announcement, RightPoint announced the hiring of Lin Johnstone as a managing director and vice president for Europe.
