Siebel’s policy of attacking vertical markets continues with the introduction of new functionality for its eConsumer Goods module and a push into the healthcare market.
According to the firm, Siebel eConsumer Goods 7 is an integrated suite of sales, marketing and customer service applications designed specifically to meet the needs and requirements of consumer goods manufacturers.
It includes new trade promotion simulation capabilities that allow marketers to estimate incremental promotion lift; enhanced retail execution and mobile sales capabilities via the new Siebel sales handheld product; pre-built data warehouse and analytics applications that provide intelligence on trade promotions, funds, retail audit and sales performance.
Meanwhile the company is also launching Siebel eMedical 7. eMedical is a suite of CRM applications, including sales, marketing and service functions, designed specifically for the medical products industry.
The eMedical 7 suite supports sales and account management, product management and marketing, customer service, field service, distributor management, clinical trials management and employee relationship management. It is shipping with Siebel Analytics 7, which includes visual, prepackaged and configurable reports and interactive dashboards with best-practice metrics for sales, marketing, service, partner management and executive users.
