TDS has launched its latest product, B-Select, based on smartFocus eData technology. B-Select was implemented in record time after TDS decided that the only place to launch such an important initiative was the International Direct Marketing Fair in March.
B-Select is the first site in the UK to enable users to select and count data, and visualise the lists they want before buying the data, at any time from anywhere.
B-Select opens up the market to SMEs who can now buy data without paying a minimum order price. The product doesn’t incur the normal costs of production because it can be delivered immediately via e-mail.
The underlying technology is eData which enables list owners and brokers to enhance the value of their data by delivering over the internet, improving accessibility. Delivering analysis quickly and easily for marketing professionals has been enhanced with e-commerce and data delivery functionality specifically for the benefit of the list owner and broker community.
Adrian Gregory, CEO of TDS says “TDS has considered for some time the value of making our business to business data available over the internet. We selected smartFocus as we believe it is the leading supplier of data analysis and production software. They gave us the confidence that we could develop and effective solutions within a very short space of time. We are delighted with the results. We are already signing up new customers to buy data from us because we no longer have to impose a minimum order and customers can quickly and easily see what they are going to buy before they buy it.”
TDS and partner Scoot will now promote B-Select and build awareness amongst users who may not previously have had access to buying lists for direct marketing.
SmartFocus Technology director, James Alty, who worked on the project said that smartFocus had worked with TDS for a number of years to assist them in delivering analysis and visualisation for their data. “We were very pleased to get the opportunity to deliver the B-Select solution with TDS and to meet the IDMF deadline.”
