Great post Anna - I agree and can vouch from personal experience that ecommerce websites can vastly improve their search function. I've lost count of the amount of times i've been searching for things and have just been flicking through the accessories of the product I want, so frustrating! I think ecommerce sites can make a significant improvement in sales by implementing effective search functions on their websites.

A great read. I really liked how you've highlighted the potential of marketing automation, yes it doesn't generate leads directly but it can substantially increase your conversion rates by utilising effective list segmentation that enables increased personalisation of email marketing campaigns. We implemented marketing automation in our business training program and we managed to increase our conversion rate by 43%. Leads that would've otherwise disappeared into the ether. The importance of marketing automation cannot be underestimated.

What a great article, some very interesting points you put across about how to implement storytelling in large organisations. I like how you provided examples from your own personal experience in your consulting business. I feel like I'm definitely coming across more content that effectively utilises storytelling as a marketing strategy. I think stories are very powerful things, like you it causes a simultaneous brain connection and allows much great depth of emotional response in the audience. In my own personal experience, I've noticed that I remember stories much more compared to someone just talking about facts and figures.
