Cost of CRM

How much does CRM cost?

What are the monthly prices of the most popular CRM tools?

28th Feb 2018

Before you consider implementing CRM, it’s important to know the principal costs.

However, the baseline prices should only be the starting point for building a deeper understanding of what’s required to successfully implement a CRM solution.

The reality is there are a variety of hidden costs and ongoing expenses that organisations can easily overlook when attempting to establish how much they will be paying, month-by-month.

For instance – contract terms, customisation and customer support are often additional costs not included in the initial price of CRM, and these can quickly add up.

Then there’s the time it takes to implement and the consultancy involved in doing so.

Even the subscription prices of CRM products can be opaque, with costs varying according to region, features and various add-ons.

Despite this, it’s vital to take the first step of establishing exactly what type of CRM you need and the starting fee for each user.

With this in mind, we’ve pulled together a general pricing guide for some of the top CRM vendors.

Hi Chris, nice overview but you've missed one important player, SuiteCRM. How come? And it's free of the particular cost you are reffering to in this article. Namely, user licences. Check it out, it's serious stuff ;)

Cheers mate,
Goran

Hi Goran.

A valid request. We based the list on the leading vendors based on sales circa 2017 and there had to be a cut-off point somewhere.

Appreciate there are a number of open source platforms out there. Here's a blog listing the top ten: https://blog.capterra.com/free-and-open-source-crm/

Hi Chris, tnx for the reply. Leading vendors based on sales of 'what'? Sales of user licences? Or you have info in regards to a total value of CRM Projects in 2017 per vendor?

Anyway, there are number of opensource solutions but so is the case with commercial ones. I think it's fair to list the best from both of worlds. Otherwise you should name your article 'Quick summary of commercial CRM application licence prices'.

Cheers,
Goran

Thanks for your comments gkabic and barbaragun.

Clearly the list does not provide every CRM tool across the system landscape but hopefully does give an idea of the base costs of some of the 'leading' vendors. These have been collated based on the combined assessment of a number of leading software ranking sites. Their assessments of which CRMs are deemed most user-friendly can be found in an article we have run this week:
https://www.mycustomer.com/selling/crm/which-crm-tool-is-the-most-user-f...

Hope that provides some context.
