Lithium Technologies swoops for Social Dynamx

Lithium Technologies has acquired enterprise social customer care platform Social Dynamx.

Based in Texas, Social Dynamx is a Cloud-based platform for social CRM and customer care, helping contact centres and large enterprises to manage millions of conversations across social media channels, blogs and peer-to-peer communities in real-time.

The combined offering, which is available immediately as ‘Lithium Social Web’ and fully combined with Lithium Communities, enables companies to serve their customers across social channels and enlist them as brand advocates.

Additionally, the solution improves agent productivity by more than 25% and provides a seamless journey from social network traffic to community engagement, said Lithium. 

No financial details of the deal were disclosed.

Lithium president and CEO Rob Tarkoff said. “The addition of Social Dynamx to the Lithium platform reinforces and extends our ability to help brands drive down service costs and increase customer satisfaction and engagement by bringing community experts into the dialogue earlier.”

Social Dynamx CEO Mike Betzer will join Lithium's executive team, reporting directly to Tarkoff, and will lead the Lithium Social Web business.

Betzer said: “Lithium and Social Dynamx set a new standard for scalable customer engagement through community. Combined, we have even more opportunities to drive real, meaningful business results for our customers.”

Following the acquisition, All Social Dynamx regular employees are expected to join Lithium and its customers, including Time Warner Cable, DISH Network and Convio, will join Lithium's roster of more than 400 brands.
