CRM 'leader' Saleforce announces alliance with Deloitte

On-demand CRM tyro Saleforce.com appointed itself 'the leader' of CRM as it announced a strategic partnership with consulting giant Deloitte Consulting LLP to offer on-demand CRM services to large enterprises worldwide.

Deloitte Consulting will incorporate the Salesforce suite and Apex platform into its consulting portfolio with the aim of helping organisations to generate measurable business results from their CRM investments.

Commenting on the partnership announcement as the industry-wide shift towards on-demand services and service-oriented architectures continues, Bobby Napiltonia, Saleforce.com senior vice president for worldwide channels and alliances, said: “The largest enterprise businesses worldwide are realising they too can take part in on-demand success.

"As the leader in CRM, our alliance with Deloitte Consulting will help give enterprises the confidence they need to develop, customise, integrate and deploy on-demand applications with consultants they know and trust.”

The move follows SAP’s announcement last week that it was moving into the on-demand space with a portfolio of medium to small- enterprise products.
