UK law firm Cobbetts has selected Pivotal CRM application to improve client understanding and streamline its marketing activities.

Cobbetts is a top 50 law firm with 108 partners, and having recently announced a 26 percent rise in partner profits, the firm has a projected fee income approaching £65 million.

The firm wants to have a holistic view of client activity, marketing and case information in one intuitive system. The Pivotal CRM system is intended to achieve this.

Cobbetts continuously monitors client satisfaction including routine face-to-face meetings with top clients by senior partners. The new system is intended to enable them to ensure that all interactions, feedback and action points are visible to all parties interacting with a particular client.

The firm operates a flexible, focused team structure that has been developed across eight key practice areas including: corporate, real estate, banking, commercial, dispute resolution, employment, private capital and social housing. Pivotal CRM will empower Cobbetts to identify and act on cross-selling and up-selling opportunities.

"As a law firm, we have consistently been very progressive in our adoption of the latest technologies," said Kevin Goosman, head of IT and CRM project manager. "The strength of the Pivotal CRM solution became obvious after we evaluated other providers - both enterprise and industry-specific.

"The vertical focus of Pivotal CRM in the legal and professional services industries will enable us to deploy the solution in a very short period while allowing us to maintain our focus on our business objectives. At the same time, Pivotal CRM offers advanced functionality that can be configured for the way we want to do business. Ultimately, the system will enable us to provide world-class client service, expand our services, and identify cross-practice business opportunities."
