Oracle’s January update is a patch to fix 51 vulnerabilities within its database, apps and PeopleSoft product lines.

Systems covered by the patch update include PeopleSoft Enterprise Applications, Database Server, Applications Server, and both the E-Business suite and Collaboration suite products.

The October 2006 release included fixes for 101 vulnerabilities – that's over 150 vulnerabilities, some of them serious, identified within the last three months alone.

The next major security update is scheduled for April 17.
