PeopleSoft loses CRM boss

by
9th Mar 2004

PeopleSoft's top CRM executive has quit after less than two years in the job, its second senior manager to go from the division in recent months.

Joe Davis is leaving to become CEO at business intelligence firm Coremetrics. A PeopleSoft spokesman said his departure was a result of his desire to be a CEO, although some market watchers are speculating that he is a victim of the post JD Edwards/PeopleSoft merger consolidation.

Davis joined PeopleSoft in August 2002. As general manager and vice president for the CRM division, Davis led worldwide development, strategy, marketing and customer support for PeopleSoft's CRM product division.

His resignation is the second departure of a top CRM executive from PeopleSoft in recent months. Brad Wilson, vice president of CRM marketing, left several months ago to pursue 'other opportunities'.
