When Brian states that C level executives are waiting for other people to show them what they need to see before transforming their whole organizations, makes it clear that they are missing the point.

Because of technology and its new uses, the world is changing the way things are done, the economy is becoming a Social Economy and people has more power than ever. There is no doubt that the customers and prospects are changing, as well as the people that is joining the companies everyday and have to work in a past century ecosystem that do not enables them to communicate openly across multi channel systems, cooperate eficiently, innovate  in groups and operate freely. When they get in, they expect to use the same tools they are used to to solve problems, to create new solutions and add value to the whole ecosystem becoming part of the organizational community.

If they don't see it, I'm afraid that they will fail and will be left behind. A leader don't wait utill someone shows up and do the magic in order to get moving. A XXIst century leader gets out of his silo and get a real grip of this vission.
