BroadVision adds hybrid networks to social networking tool

BroadVision, a social business solutions company, has announced it has added hybid networks to its Clearvale social business tool in a move the company says will improve collaboration across networks.

With the new ‘Guest’ feature, users can invite participants from different organisations to collaborate, who can be visible either across the network or only in specific workspaces within the network.

Members and guests can share and collaborate on files, blogs, create wikis, comment on or rate content with multiple entities either publicly (using ‘Zones’) or privately (using ‘Conduits’).

Dr. Pehong Chen, CEO of BroadVision, said: “The ability to create hybrid networks of interconnected entities is a tremendous advancement in the evolution of enterprise social networking. A company's workforce can now collaborate easily with customers, suppliers, partners, and other key stakeholders in a safe and controlled way within the same network and in the broader Clearvale social ecosystem.”
