In a recent Gartner survey of business leaders, 89% predicted that customer experience would be their primary basis for competitive differentiation by 2017. And so often it is the customer support function that can make or break the entire experience. 

This comes as no surprise to many of the most successful business leaders in history, most of whom have built the foundations for their organisations on the foundations of good customer service. 

From Steve Jobs to Richard Branson to Henry Ford, the best leaders have instinctively understood the importance of customer service.

Some of our members have rightly highlighted a gender imbalance in this infographic, for which we will work to amend.
In the meantime, please share some further examples of great customer service quotes you think were missed from the list - examples from female leaders are of course welcome!

It's pretty clear there are a few oversights with this one. Marilyn Suttle being a prime example.

Hi Neil,

As discussed would have been nice to have seen some quotes from female leaders, I'm sure there are many and perhaps an opportunity for one or two of our female CX authors and leaders to contribute.
