The Freedom of Information Act and the new Data Protection Act are set to revolutionise the way Government departments and local authorities interact with their 'customers'. Councils across the UK are doing everything they can to meet central government’s deadlines and targets, whereby 100 per ceny of the their services are required to be online and accessible to the public by 2005.
