Blaze Software, a provider of e-business personalization, announced that Blue Martini Software has embedded the Blaze Advisor Rule Engine into Blue Martini’s E-Merchandising System geared for retailers and manufacturers selling direct-to-consumer on the Internet. Blaze Advisor is claimed to enable e-businesses to personalize Web sites using business rules that drive online customer product recommendations, promotions, site look and feel, and up-sell/cross-sell opportunities when using the Blue Martini E-Merchandising System. Consumer goods manufacturers such as Levi Strauss & Co., retailers such as Gymboree Corp., and Internet pure-play retailers such as Gloss.com use the Blue Martini E-Merchandising System for targeted selling over the Web.
