Citibank Disappearance

Information Week's John Soat revealed a bewildering departure at Citibank at the end of the month, when head of technology Mary Alice Taylor left suddenly and silently.

NY executive employment lawyer Jonathan Sack (sic) said: "Either she left or she was forced out - and the signs point to that.  I know how Citibank works. If they want to let you go, historically they do so without any warning or notice."

Soat's questions revealed that "if Taylor didn't threaten any kind of claim or suit, she probably wound up with a fair package. Citibank isn't as generous as others, but it plays fair; she'll get vesting, salary, and outplacement services."
