CRM software

I'm looking after the IT requirements in a small business and am in the process of replacing our internal customer system. I've looked at a number of off the shelf packages which incorporate a combination of CRM, customer management, strategic marketing campaigns, diary/To do lists etc. The prices vary wildly. I'm interested to hear any advice about which off the shelf packagages I should look at for a small business with a limited budget looking to hold all its customer data in one place.

If you use Microsoft Outlook & Exchange Server like us you might have a look at a product ContEX CRM from Impreza Computer Services (http://www.imprezacomp.com). We have just installled it and are very please with it.

Hello Damon et al. Have you tried softwareuncovered.com ? It has a good range of products on the site to compare, including the biggies like Peoplesoft, SAP, Siebal etc. I found this site from one of the forums on CRM-Forum and in my opinion is definately one for the bookmarks. Hope this helps. Good luck!

Damon:

Our new CRM solution called Contact Master 2, Workgroups Edition, is designed specifically for the small to mid-size business.

Contact Master’s rapid deployment, ease of use, and low cost of ownership is designed to help businesses enjoy the advantages of much more expensive, time-consuming, and cryptic CRM packages currently on the market.

Organizations can deploy Contact Master in one day and download the full operational package free for 90 days without cost or obligation.

Please contact me if you are interested in downloading your free 90-day trial of Contact Master.

I, myself am the Administrator in a group of chemical and trading companies in south and east europe and Italy. We have tried everything, and nothing really worked like we wanted. Then, we tried a small company software (that is still in trial with us). They are developing, but wanted to try a product with some selected customers. We have it in free trial from January and it really works. It is an ASP solution, and when it'll be commercialized, they think to charge something like €15 to €20 per working place and/or desktop per month. It works with us and other 10 companies and everybody is very happy about it. You get 4 modules including todo lists, calendar, projects, address book, email, fax, sms, mobile phone and chat in the standard configuration, then you can get also other modules at an extra charge. Their software is working on a relation database platform and it is fully web supported with java, php and else. I do recommend them to everyone. If anybody is interesetd e.mail me and I'll provide their mail addresses after asking them.

Depending on your needs for customization and such, consider utilizing a fee-based ASP solution. This will keep your costs to a minimum, provide you with the ability to discontinue and add services as needed.

www.digitalinformationsystem.com offers an interesting solution for contact management and sales automation. It includes an interesting feature to capitalise on the intelectual capital of the company. They propose a vendor and ASP approach. Simple yet poweful and expendable.
