Emap director to join targeted marketing specialists

The former CRM and marketing director of Emap Digital, Bob Willmott, is joining targeted marketing specialists Diametric as their first board director.

Willmott will take special responsibility for the new CRM outsourcing service, where clients can run pilot tests using partners selected and managed by Diametric.

At Emap, he developed online brand and customer management programmes for household brands such as FHM, Q, Kiss, Smash Hits, Empire and New Woman. In addition to building a site portfolio of 2.9 million users and over 50 million impressions, Willmott and his team also developed a direct communication channel for Emap that currently exceeds 750,000 opt-in emails and 500,000 SMS mobile customers.

Prior to Emap, Willmott develop CRM and targeted marketing campaigns for Air Miles International and Safeway, building on a successful career in brand management with Procter & Gamble and Kraft.

The company was founded in January 2001 by Robert Diamond, previously MD for CRM Consulting with Wunderman, the world's largest direct marketing agency. Diamond previously helped found the U.S. CRM Consulting Practice for Coopers & Lybrand (now PwC), building on marketing experience with Procter & Gamble and EMI Music.
