Atlanta technology community leader Rusty Gordon is to join Knowlagent as chief executive officer. Gordon has had a long, established career in the systems and software business, overseeing numerous startups and acquisitions over the past two decades.
Since 1994, he has led the growth of Atlanta-based iFleet, a longtime Knowlagent customer, from a 15-employee professional services firm to an IT services firm that manages over 1.5 million mobile service events each year.
Prior to serving as CEO and chairman of iFleet, Gordon served as CEO of Automated Design Systems, Inc. (ADS), an Atlanta-based company which created NetTools, the Windows-based network administration tool.
Prior to Automated Design Systems, Gordon led the development and launch of The Retail Exchange, the first integrated information-based trade exchange between packaged goods suppliers and their retailers.
In 1980, Gordon founded Unix software development company Choice Retail Systems, which later acquired Software Sciences, a subsidiary of British Oxygen Corporation. In 1989, GTE purchased Choice as the cornerstone of their new Retail Information Services group. Gordon joined as vice president of retail information services.
Gordon also served as general manager for Retail Sciences, where he helped launch Peachtree Software which is still a leading provider of PC-based accounting software.
Founded in 1995, Knowlagent e-Learning and analysis tools identify individual productivity and skill deficiencies and address them during workflow downtimes. Customers include Sprint, Kaiser Permanente, First Union and CitiFinancial.
