Amyyon, one of the major CRM suppliers in the Netherlands, and application service provider BlueDome have signed a partnership agreement for leasing Amyyon Advance via the internet.
Three versions of Amyyon Advance will be available via the BlueDome web site. They are: CRM Basis, which comprises the applications for contact management and activity management; CRM Plus, which has account management and sales management; CRM Premium, in which these applications are geared to various industries – telecom, financial services, insurance, and public utilities.
The market for leasing software via the internet (ASP) is considered a major growth market by research bureau Forrester. In 2001, this market will have a scope of 21 million dollars. Its main advantage is considered to be that users pay a regular monthly rate for the use and maintenance of the software instead of a license fee. In addition, implementation time can be reduced to one week, while the implementation of a custom-made system usually takes three to six months.
Some people have doubts about the security of ASP, but the company believes that this fear is unfounded. The Network Operating Center of BlueDome has good physical and technical security, with double UPS, diesel-powered back-up power units, firewalls, redundant systems and 24*7 hour systems management.
BlueDome, a unique Dutch ASP initiative, provides software developers with a redundant production/development platform to offer applications to end users through the ASP concept. BlueDome’s marketing and sales activities are mainly in CRM, finance, e-commerce and the virtual desktop environment.
Amyyon focuses especially on CRM systems for use in business services organizations. The Amyyon CRM system is used by clients such as UPC, Telfort, Amstel Lease, Obragas, and VNI management consultants.
