iPlanet E-Commerce Solutions has announced accelerating momentum for its internet service deployment platform. More than 20 leading companies have joined to endorse the iPlanet platform.
Based on best-of-breed, open and proven technologies, the platform includes the world’s top messaging, directory, web and application servers.
iPlanet also announced that Hewlett Packard is shipping its Directory Server with the HP-UX operating environment.
“Our estimates put the e-business market at $100 billion by the end of this decade as time-to-service and massive scalability become the overriding competitive focus in the net economy,” said Mark Tolliver, president of iPlanet e-commerce solutions. “The market leader in this area will have a $5-$10 billion software business in this space by the middle of the decade – with partner revenue perhaps even quadrupling this number.”
