Customer experience management software developer, Recognition Systems has hired a new international vice president and plans to open two new offices abroad.

Curt Bloom, who has also joined the executive management board, is responsible for expanding international operations in the Far East, South America, Australia and Asia.

Bloom’s international experience spans two decades, having worked for United Brands and Reliance Insurance. He entered the technology sector in 1983, working for financial solutions software company McCormack & Dodge, where he developed and led sales and marketing strategies throughout Latin America.

As a pioneer in database modelling and design techniques at Bachman Information Systems, Bloom grew the international presence to more than 50 percent of the total company. From Bachman, he was recruited to join Kronos Inc, an application software company focused on providing labour management solutions. As VP international, Bloom established the international division of the company and grew its international presence threefold within three years.

“As the Asian economies grow and as companies in Asia begin to integrate e-commerce into their marketing strategies, we see a significant opportunity to improve their customer relationships,” explained Bloom. “The new offices in Hong Kong and Sydney, Australia will not only aid distribution efforts, but provide local support to clients."
